Aim to these issues, this paper improves the traditional AODVjr based on Zigbee node roles and remaining energy (for short RRAj). The algorithm takes both residual energy and node role factor into account to establish a reliable path and decide the direction of packet forwarding which can avoid unnecessary energy consumption.
